The prestigious ASQ Award for most improved airport in North America went to Montreal Trudeau Airport.
Located just 20 minutes from downtown Montréal, Montreal-Trudeau International Airport welcomes more than 13 million passengers annually. It is served by some 31 passenger carriers offering non-stop service to more than 130 destinations in Canada, the US and internationally.
Ask James Cherry, President and CEO of airport authority Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) since the last 10 years, what airports should consider as some of their main priorities in the coming years and he’ll respond with just two words: speed and ease. “Speed in the sense of ensuring passengers and aircraft are processed as quickly and seamlessly as possible, and ease in terms of making the entire flying experience convenient and enjoyable for customers.”
ADM has invested more than $1.6 billion to double the airport’s capacity and introduce a host of leading-edge technologies and innovative services to ensure a secure, flexible and seamless processing of passengers and flights. In addition, the authority plans to invest a further $750 million in various improvements over the next five years, including the construction of an all-new international jetty scheduled for completion by 2016.
